"Art of Travel" is based on a philosophy of three words:

SPIRIT TO DISCOVER

What makes people extraordinary is their spirit! Spirit is inspiring energy present in every creative activity. We are discovering people, whose spirit can inspire others. They are artists, photographers, historians, ayurveda doctors, yoga teachers, spiritual experts, astrologers, ecologists, travelers, simply everyone. Spirits are our local experts who share their stories with us and based on them we arrange your travel in style!

STORY TO SHARE

Life is like a book of mysteries, which we do not understand if we do not travel. Stories written by our local experts are transformed into the trails, which connect not only places on the map, but also creating meaningful connections with local people, who make your travel stories to come alive! Trails are the journeys to rediscover old routes and to explore new ones. Lets write new chapter inspired by local history, art and myths!

STYLE TO EXPERIENCE

Style does not mean luxury, it is experience. It does not matter if you stay in boutique hotel or in tree house, if you dine in awarded restaurant or eat sandwich on the street, because your choice makes you special. Your individual style is your artistic signature, which makes journey different for each person, and we respect these differences. Experiences in style make your travel authentic, different and real; from them memories are made of!

ZUZANA ZWIEBEL

"Working in the area of  tourism and non - profit organizations I always tried to find special features of the cultures, which make countries special and interesting for visitors by keeping their authenticity and this way achieving social, cultural and environmental development. I have understood, that there is nothing 'better' or 'worst', most of the time it is just 'different'."

Zuzana, as 16 years old, won Slovak Geographical Competition, which brought her on the journey  of  unravelling  global  problems,  search  of  creative  sustainable  solutions  in tourism, regional development and management of international projects. Experiences gain in business area she always tried to implement also in non - profit areas.
Since 1999, during her studies of Economics and Tourism, she has been cooperating with several reputed NGO’s including NGO People and Water  (awarded  by  Goldman  Prize),  focusing  on  tourism,  regional  development  & self - financing  of  NGO’s.  She  wrote,  managed  and  cooperated  on  projects  funded  by European  Commission,  EU  Youth,  Soros  Fund,  ECEAT,  REC,  NESsT,  PDCS  and  etc.

Subsequently  she  run  her  private  tourism  license  offering  complex  destination management services.  She was contracted by the biggest travel agencies in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. She organised several events for Kenya and Kerala Tourism Board.

Since 2007 she is based in Asia, cooperating with tour operators in India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Her experiences inspired her for further studies during which she spent one year on prestigious Manipal University in India. She holds master degree from Economy (2007) and Asian Studies and International relation (2012).

During her studies, she met Dr. George Eassey, respected Indian doctor of ayurveda and oriental medicine, author of several books and together with his wife Hana, co-founders of the first ayurvedic clinique in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.  Together, they started to develop concept of Ayurveda Trails, which try to connect traditional medical system Ayurveda and art of travel. Zuzana, became enchanting by India and after her studies, she decided to move back in India and introduce destinations India, Sri Lanka and Maldives from different more sensitive perspective, which respects local culture and connecting local community with travellers.

In 2013 she has founded travel agency Shakti Trails, which is based on philosophy 'Art of Travel'.

Shakti is the primordial female energy, which influences the creation of the universe. It is the beginning of every creative and versatile activity. It encourages new ways of thinking, transforming energy, providing the courage to be free but also to be united with whole world. Shakti is the artistic expression of the higher self and unity with universe.

Trails mean a journey to rediscover old routes and to explore new routes. For us, it is journey of self-discovery.

In Asian culture, people greet each other by joining their palms and termed as 'Namaste' or more politely 'Namaskar'.  When we greet one another with Namaste, it means, 'may our minds meet'! The real meeting between people is the meeting of their minds!
